The world has definitely changed since I took some of these images (some of them were taken during lockdown). But what hasn’t changed is that we eat first with our eyes!
If your business is now relying more on takeaway food options now is a good time to get this figured out and this is something I can help you with.
Putting myself in the shoes of a Client I would want to understand a photographers capabilities, their knowledge of light and how to work with it, their ability to see the details, and how they present their work. And just as importantly how they work and how the manage the situation we currently find ourselves in.
Here at Carlé & Moss we have invested in PPE to ensure that we can be gloved and masked up during photo shoot sessions.
Photo shoots can either happen on the Client’s own premises/location or here at the Studio. And this is how is works…
We will create an on location Studio at your premises. However this will be a ‘closed set’ which means that only the Carlé & Moss team and one or two members of the Client team can operate within its confines.
All parties need to wear gloves and masks when handling products and food. And extra time needs to be allowed to accommodate potential space and sign off requirements.
Prior to the Photo Shoot we have an in depth conversation with you over Skype/Zoom/the good old fashioned telephone, to create a shoot plan for you. This includes styling options and back drops. Lighting and finished image edit requirements. These are backed up with mood boards and a test image if needs be.
All photographic kit is wiped down at the end of every photo shoot. PPE is disposed of at the end of every photo shoot.
We use the CamRanger system so that you have sight of and can sign off on the RAW images as we progress throughout the shoot. This gives you peace of mind that the images are how you envisioned them in your minds eye.
The Studio is a ‘closed set’ which means that only the Carlé & Moss team operate within its doors.

As a Client we check in with you throughout the shoot so that you can see ‘live’ how we are getting on. We don’t have a continual live feed as photo shoots involve a lot of prep time, positioning of products, metering and lighting checks etc which is incredibly boring to watch! So we get you involved for the fun bits!
Products including food can be photographed here and styled by us.
If we are handling dried goods these need to be delivered to us three days prior to the photo shoot and will be kept in quarantine. Afterwards they will be repacked and can be collected. Or they can be disposed of.
For chilled and perishable goods we will be wearing gloves to handle the items and they will be disposed of immediately afterwards.

To book your Photo Shoot with Carlé & Moss it couldn’t be easier. Just send a message across via the contact form and lets get going!
