Brand Photography

I’d like to take this incredible opportunity to be your guide in the dynamic world of brand photography.

To share with you; my knowledge, extensive experience, and my expertise in this exciting profession. Helping you to take that all important first step. Or help you on the journey you may have already begun to running a successful brand led business.

What Exactly is a Brand?

A brand is not just a logo, or a colour scheme, or some gorgeous images. It’s so much more and that’s the really juicy part.

In a nutshell, ‘brand’ is the term used for how you think, how you feel, and what you do when you interact with a business, a service, or a personality based on how they project themselves to the world. As a result, this means that a brand can influence your behaviour and the choices that you believe are right for you.

There’s a lot of psychology in brand strategy which is critical when planning your brand photography, and that’s really exciting, but how does this actually work? Perhaps the most important question is how do you learn what’s right for your brand imagery and how do you apply it to your business for success?

Brand vs Branding

The Brand is the emotional interaction. Branding is its visual counterpart. And that’s where brand photography comes into its own.

Let’s talk imagery

The very first thing the majority of consumers do when looking for a product or a service is to research it. Thanks to search engines, clients can immediately land on your website and your social media pages with very little effort. And what’s the first thing they will do on landing? They will look at the images and make a split-second decision as to whether you are right for them, and that’s before they’ve even started to scroll down and start reading!

A study by Stanford University showed that 94% of first impressions are design-related. And further research shows that you have just 0.05 seconds – that’s 50 milliseconds – for users to decide if they will stay on your website or leave. Confirmation that visually, websites need to be excellent. You can have a world leading product or service, but if your visuals are anything less than professional the customer often just won’t bother and will be off to another website or social media page before you can say “Hey wait, come back!”. Its brutal.
