Now this is where you really see the difference an interior designer can make in your home!
A sophisticated owners suite
The before and after images of this boutique yet cosy owners suite at a magical house tucked away on one of the leafy streets in Cheltenham really showcases the talents of the team at GR Design Studio.
Their raison d’être is creating spaces that feel personal, functional, and timeless for their clients.
Just what you need
However as this project shows, you don’t need a full house renovation or a huge budget to work with them. Sometimes all it takes is a single room refresh—whether it’s your kitchen, bedroom, or home office, to completely transform the way you feel in your space.
The Team at GR Design Studio lead by Georgie, tailor their approach to fit your budget. Focusing on clever sourcing, smart planning, and thoughtful design they make your interior design dreams come true!
Their goal is always the same: to create a space that works beautifully for you, your lifestyle, and your home, whether it’s a full-scale project or a single room makeover.
“Working with Nikki was an absolute dream! She really knows how to capture the personality and essence of a space. Every shot feels natural, stylish, and perfectly showcases our work. She made the whole process effortless and fun, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. We’d highly recommend her to anyone looking for professional interior photography that truly stands out!”

The Owners Suite – Master Bedroom
The concept board created by GR Design Studio for the Master Bedroom…
The GR Design Studio team created the master bedroom concept to ensure it would feel like a calm, cocooning retreat. A space for their clients to unwind at the end of a busy day in a luxe environment. All structural work had been completed which meant that the team could concentrate on bringing warmth, character, and a layered sense of comfort that balanced practicality with luxury.
To one side of the room, a walk in wardrobe was created and painted in Farrow & Ball De Nimes No. 318. This sophisticated colour feels grounded yet fresh. The cabinetry then benefited from the addition of antique brass handles, adding a refined detail that links back to the accents used throughout the en-suite.
Q: Why did you choose Carlé & Moss / Nikki to take your interiors photographs?
A: “We have worked with Nikki on other interior photography project and absolutely loved the outcome as well as the process of working with her.”
Q: How did you find Carlé & Moss (ie word of mouth, Google search, etc)?
A: “We’ve worked with Nikki before on a project for a mutual client and quickly decided that we would work together moving forward!”
“Working with Nikki was an absolute dream!”
The overhaul began with the walls and the introduction of texture with Taluk Sisal Snow wallcovering by Thibaut on the feature wall behind the bed. This anchored the room with a depth and softness. The remaining walls were colour drenched in Paint & Paper Library Slate II. The effect is subtle yet striking, creating a restful and refined environment.
Q: What was the business need that pushed you to seek out professional interiors photography?
A: “We needed professional photos of completed projects for marketing purposes and having just completed two spaces within this wonderful home for our Client this was the ideal opportunity to work with Nikki again.”
“She made the whole process effortless and fun, and we couldn’t be happier with the results.”
On either side of the super king sized bed, characterful bobbin leg bedside tables were added (below). These were paired with modern black wall lights featuring glass globes. This contrast between traditional craftsmanship and contemporary detailing has created a timeless balance. Above the bed, a large abstract artwork in soft neutrals was hung to tie the whole scheme together, adding serenity and focus.
Q: What was your favourite part of the photography shoot/session?
A: “I loved it all to be honest!”
Styling was kept soft and understated, flowing linen curtains, tactile ceramics, and greenery brought in natural movement, while personal touches like framed family photographs and curated books made the space feel lived in and loved.
A super king upholstered bed took centre stage, providing the couple with much needed sleeping space and instantly elevated the room’s sense of luxury.
The GR Design Team then went on to style this with crisp white bed linens and olive green throw cushions complimented with a burnt orange striped bolster. This palette was inspired by earthy, natural tones that bring warmth without overwhelming the scheme.
“We’d highly recommend her to anyone looking for professional interior photography that truly stands out!”
Elsewhere in the bedroom, layered furniture choices from a ribbed dressing table with boucle stool to a solid oak chest of drawers with bobbin detailing introduced both practicality and personality.
Q: Did everything go to plan? Did the schedules and/or planning sessions help?
A: “Yes everything went to plan and the schedule Nikki provided before was a great help.”
Q: What were the key images required for this shoot/session and what was the business need that drove this decision?
A: “In addition to the interiors images we needed to showcase the work we have just completed we also ended up being a little ad hoc and throwing in some product images and headshots into the mix too which Nikki created on the go and which I also love!”
“She really knows how to capture the personality and essence of a space. Every shot feels natural, stylish, and perfectly showcases our work.”
Q: What advice would you give anyone planning their own interiors photography session(s)?
A: “Work with Nikki, because she makes it all so easy.”
The end result of this design masterclass by the GR Design Studio Team is a master suite that balances boutique hotel luxury with everyday family comfort. The perfect retreat that feels elegant, welcoming, and deeply personal.
