I often get asked what’s it like behind the scenes on a photo shoot here at the Studio.
Well even if its just me in the Studio shooting for my Clients whilst they check in via Zoom or Skype its still a lot of fun!
With so many things to prep on a food photo shoot we have a large kitchen with plenty of work space which is incredibly handy!

Its all the small things you don’t see behind the scenes too which I also pass on to my Clients who take the Photography for Small Businesses course that I run. Have a look at a recent training session for RKM Calligraphy.
One Client didn’t have a reflector to hand and had called me whilst I was working on this photo shoot asking how to solve this problem…
I shot the above using a chopping board as my reflector! It knocked the light back onto the food from the large bay window we have in the Studio and hey presto you have a reflector (of sorts!) that did the job.
Lighting is key for food photography and natural light is always best if you can harness it.
Come and learn how to do this with me here at the Studio!
