Before the lock down we managed to squeeze in one last one to one photography training session here at the Studio for Rachel of RKM Calligraphy.
Rachel had set up RKM Calligraphy to provide modern calligraphy services for weddings and events. She needed to learn how to take images suitable for advertising and social media posts. And so armed with Rachel’s smart phone and years of technical photography knowledge and branding experience from me we set to work fuelled with tea and cake!
We reviewed Rachel’s business as a whole, her objectives for the business, the customer journey, the creating of her brand, and of course how to take those all important photographs.
From selecting and styling props and creating a set, to clever lighting techniques using everyday objects and things you can make with a bit of know how.
Looking at different styles of shooting products depending on what was being photographed and I also taught Rachel how to take the perfect flatlay!
Rachel has since bought her first SLR and we’ve had follow up mentoring sessions over Skype during the lock down!
