For businesses yet to start thinking about Christmas, now is the perfect reminder that the countdown is well and truly on.
Planning ahead gives you the greatest choice of products, more flexibility and less stress before the festive rush begins.

My client team at Stratton House Hotel are way ahead of the curve and we planned and photographed the already researched and creatively collated Christmas menus in July!
From a mouth-watering Christmas day dinner to three course party menus, and of course afternoon tea; they had it all covered.

On one of the hottest days of the one of many heatwaves this summer we were photographing Christmas food and Christmas interiors images. More menus and interiors to follow soon…
This blog is dedicated to the exquisitely presented Christmas themed afternoon tea.
And yes the roaring log burner you see is real and yes it was in the high thirties that day!

In their own words, here is what the Stratton House Hotel Team had to say about our festive afternoon tea photo shoot…
A: “As part of our marketing planning we need to be able to promote Christmas from August onwards as people start to plan for the holiday season. We have worked with Nikki many times before for food and interiors imagery and we knew that she would deliver yet again.”

A: “As well as our guests that stay with us over the Christmas period, we also provide corporate hospitality in the run up to the big day. Creating a wonderful option for businesses to celebrate their staff and the season here at Stratton House Hotel.
Here at Stratton House Hotel & Spa we offer festive winter events, including traditional Christmas Day lunches, seasonal afternoon teas, and Christmas party nights complete with themed dining and music.
More information is coming soon to our website and social media pages. Watch this space!”

A: “We love watching Nikki create a mini studio here on site at the hotel but never quite know how she creates the magic in her camera! For this shoot we also got to eat the food that had been prepared so that we could create our magical Christmas dining images too.”

A: “Yes. It always does! Nikki always plans everything out in advance and creates a schedule so that nothing is missed and that everything runs to time (and therefore our budget). She works really well with our pastry chef and head chef too. Together they are a great combination of chef creativity and photography creativity.”

A: “Book Nikki and take her advice onboard! Nikki very much works collaboratively and ensures that we are always included in creative decisions and explains why she is doing things in a certain way. This is great for us as it means we understand what is happening and get the benefit of expert advice and a free lesson as we go!”

Q: What were the key images required for this shoot/session and what was the business need that drove this decision to book a photography session?
A: “We needed images created in the summer for our Christmas food offering. They will be used online on both the website and for social media and also for printed materials. Nikki was also commissioned to photograph the hotel dressed for Christmas which you will be able to see in another blog.”

“Another cracking photoshoot delivered by our go to photographer! On time, on budget, on brand, and absolutely on point for our marketing materials. Nikki captured the taste and joy of the Christmas food we will be serving here at Stratton House Hotel this Christmas period. We’re already looking forward to Christmas as a result!”
