Last year I was delighted to receive the call from the Marketing Manager at Apples To Pears to photograph their iconic Gift In A Tin Collections.

Working Together Again

I’ve worked with Becca before on the launch photography, product photography, and brand photography for The Cotswold Baby Box. And so I was really pleased to be working with her again.

Apples To Pears is known for its iconic Gift In A Tin collections that you often see in gift shops and museum shops, including the Buckingham Palace gift shop!

With their HQ in the beautiful Brimscombe Port near Stroud we had a ready made studio!

Why did you choose Carlé & Moss / Nikki to take your business photographs?

“I had worked with Nikki before and I have always loved her work. I knew she would understand the brief really well and that we would work well together.”

What was the business need that pushed you to seek out professional business photography?

“On my arrival at Apples to Pears, I felt the imagery looked very tired and very amateur. I was keen to get some professional photography done to improve the look and feel of the website and social media.”

What was your favourite part of the photography shoot/session?

“Seeing all the planning, gathering, briefing and thought processes come to fruition and seeing the results of what we had created!”

Did everything go to plan? Did the schedules, shoot boards and/or planning sessions help?

“I was amazed at how much we got done in one day. This was down to Nikki’s good planning, but also having worked with Nikki before, we worked well bouncing off each other and were able to work quickly. Nikki is an absolute professional and has a keen eye for detail which is brilliant.”

Christmas

What was the inspiration or theme for your photo shoot/photography sessions?

“Christmas was a big factor, but also Cottagecore and the rural aesthetic”

What were the key images required for this shoot/session and what was the business need that drove this decision?

“We needed imagery to be able to start promoting Christmas gifts as we had no (professional) Christmas imagery at all. In addition to this, I wanted to use the opportunity to create some non-Christmas themes lifestyle displays. The business need was that the imagery we already have was tired, it needed refreshing.”

 What advice would you give anyone planning their own business photography session(s)?

“Do it! Book Nikki and you won’t regret it. I will always come back to Nikki for professional photography requirements, she is a great find and actually, I want to keep her a secret!”
