What a wonderful time I spent prepping and planning this out with and then actually taking the images with and for Team ArtÓ last month!
ArtÓ is all about bringing people together – to appreciate art, enjoy conversation or to work and collaborate on creative projects.
Their art is owned not loaned. This is a huge distinction in the world of art galleries and art sales. ArtÓ is truly passionate about supporting emerging and visionary artists. Their support by buying the works of art and then selling them means that the artist is not reliant on the gallery they loan a piece of art to on sale or return. Its a win/win. ArtÓ has incredible pieces to view and buy and the artists are already paid enabling them to continue to create.
ArtÓ will also be hosting events including artist talks and creative workshops so do keep an eye out for those dates and details on their website and social media.
ArtÓ can be found at 3 Brewery Yard, Sheep Street, Stow on the Wold, Gloucestershire, GL54 1AA
We chatted to Emma who is the Comms and PR Lead at ArtÓ about what makes a good photo shoot, and the business of ArtÓ …
“To have a clear idea of the imagery needed and its intended use and to take input from professionals in their field. Our ideas and Nikki’s came together brilliantly.”
“We were impressed with Nikki’s portfolio and by her vibrant photographic style.”
“Nikki had some great ideas for social media including Instagram-ready squares and teasers of parts of artworks for “What is it?” competitions. She made the models feel totally at ease and we had a lot of fun with the shoot making full use of the space and surroundings.”
“We connected with Nikki via our local creative community in the Brewery Yard, Stow-on-the-Wold.”
“We were keen to capture the spirit of ArtÓ as a fusion of art gallery, meeting place and flexible workspace. Nikki took a variety of photos focusing in on the artworks as well as the space/interiors and visitors enjoying ArtÓ.”
“We were launching our company website www.myarto.co.uk and also needed photos for use in our wider communications and marketing including social media.”
“We needed interior and exterior shots of ArtÓ as well as detailed images of the artworks. The launch of the website was a major factor, but the images will be a key part of on-brand communications in the long term.”
“Nikki delivered everything on the shoot list and was happy to include extra ideas. The shoot flowed smoothly and was delivered within the time planned.
Final images were ready to the deadline agreed. Nikki was incredibly professional whilst being friendly and fun making it very enjoyable for all involved.”
