What a joy to photograph this family home for The House Ministry.
Julia and the team had been briefed and contracted to design a number of rooms in this elegant family home here in the Cotswolds. Tackling the Home Office, the Sitting Room, The Snug, the Hallway and the Landing, and the Guest Bedroom. Oh and the Smallest Room in the house!
All of these exquisitely designed rooms took into account the family needs and everyday lifestyle requirements and yet also had the most elegant feel. It just goes to prove that even with a young family, if you choose the right interior designer, your wishes really do come true!
Now lets have a look at this fabulous house and the interior design that makes it a home. Family life just got stylish. Be prepared for home envy…!
From the practicalities of somewhere for shoes and coats and school bags, to the textures and colours in the rugs and pieces of furniture, this area is both practical and beautiful.
I loved the little surprise and delight factors and the combination of the old and the new coming together perfectly.
Pops of colour ensure that this is a joyful space.
A room for snuggling up with a good book or watching movies on a large screen TV with the garden as its backdrop.
This room had such an elegant and soft vibe to it. The complimentary pinks and blues ensure that it feels cosy and sophisticated all at the same time.
With storage always being at a premium the Home Office was thoughtfully designed to maximise space.
With sloping dormer windows and a view over the garden the Guest Bedroom is a sanctuary of calm.
Building storage into the eves was a clever option and an elegant design choice.
The Guest Bathroom with its soft pink hues maximised the space in the smallest room in the house!
Calm, safe, spacious and creating the most clever and aesthetically pleasing storage spaces.
This room was utter bliss. Its a room you don’t want to leave!
“Nikki is a star and an excellent photographer from a technical standpoint yet what really elevates her from her peers is her background in branding and marketing. This means that she has an eye for proactively capturing additional images which provide great story telling opportunities for my business’s marketing. Its a win/win!”
“It is the incidental images that I discover you have taken without being directed.”
Elegant colours, furnishings, textures, and details meant that this room was the true heart of the home.
It was important to capture the soft lighting in the evening for this room with up and down lighters.
